  2. I’ve just finished my first solo playing of this little wargame. At the start, I had the Israelis and Egyptians attacking everywhere trying to control the supply routes. The attrition rate was high, but the Egyptians were slowly being pushed back off the roads. Before I knew it, it was turn 5, and I realised that I need to get some Israeli units over the Suez Canal, if they are to win. With the thinning of the Israeli line, the Egyptians pushed back. Egyptian artillery strikes then destroyed a couple of Israeli Armoured units and all of a sudden the Israeli front lines had holes everywhere. At the end of the game it was an Israeli win but only just. If the game had an 8th turn, the Egyptians would have won.

I am really enjoying this game. It’s simple but there are a lot of little nuances to be found in the game play. It’s well worth playing.
