Centurion pretty much gets it right. It’s fairly quick to learn and play and stressful, but in a exciting way. I have a 50-50 winning percentage in the games I’ve played so far, most of which last roughly and hour or so.
My only real complaint is the AAA rules. They don’t make clear whether AAA fire occurs in enemy spaces without OPFOR units in them for airborne insertions. I’ve made a personal rule that for air strikes or airborne insertions in spaces that are occupied enemy units, even if there are no AAA unit counters present, would have some form of integrated AAA defense even if it was small arms. For airborne insertions I use the landing table for unoccupied spaces so either land or abort. I will do a AAA check if the landing is at an airfield in Egypt since they would most likely have some AAA guns for their defense.
